EcomAI Recall KaaN – User Guide

Overview

EcomAI Recall KaaN is a Chrome extension that lets you export conversations from supported AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Poe in TXT or JSON format. Exported conversation content is processed locally in your browser for extraction and download. License validation, usage limits, trial management, and sync-related operations may communicate securely with the licensing backend.

The product is designed with a privacy-focused approach and aims to support GDPR, KVKK, and similar data protection expectations through minimal data handling and local-first export behavior.

Installation

1. Open the Chrome Web Store and search for EcomAI Recall KaaN.
2. Click Add to Chrome and confirm installation.
3. On first launch, the extension will display the Terms of Use / Privacy acceptance screen.
4. Click I Accept to continue.

How to Use

1. Open a supported AI platform in Chrome.
2. Click the EcomAI Recall KaaN icon in the Chrome toolbar.
3. Choose your export format: TXT or JSON.
4. Click Save Chat / Export.
5. The extension first checks whether a valid conversation is present on the page before consuming usage credits.
6. If successful, the exported file is saved to your default Downloads folder.

License Activation

1. Purchase a license from our Gumroad page: https://ecomai.gumroad.com/l/yawdsj
2. Open the extension popup.
3. Paste your license key into the license field.
4. Click Activate.
5. Once activated, your plan and current usage values are shown in the popup.

Trial

The extension also supports a trial flow. Trial availability is controlled by the system and may be limited to one Chrome profile. Trial usage requires an internet connection. Offline save is not available on trial.

Offline Save & Sync

For paid sessions, the extension supports limited offline saving.

• If you are temporarily offline, saves can be queued locally.
• Offline saves are limited to 5 saves per 24-hour window.
• When your connection returns, queued saves are synced automatically in the background.
• During this period, the popup may show pending sync information or cached quota values.

Troubleshooting

Export does not work

• Make sure you are on a supported platform.
• Check Chrome permissions such as storage, activeTab, scripting, and downloads.
• Make sure the current page actually contains a conversation before exporting.

License does not activate

• Check your internet connection.
• Make sure the license key is correct.
• Try reopening the popup after activation if plan details do not refresh immediately.

Daily or total usage reached

• If your daily limit is reached, wait until the next usage window.
• If your total credits are exhausted, upgrade or renew your plan.

Offline sync pending

• Reconnect to the internet and wait for the extension to sync queued saves automatically.

Overview & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how EcomAI (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles data in connection with the EcomAI Recall KaaN Chrome extension (the “Extension”).

The Extension’s architecture is intentionally designed to operate in an offline-first, local-only manner. Chat records remain on the user’s device and are not stored on our servers. As a result, user chat records cannot be provided, disclosed, produced, or delivered by us to any requesting party, because we do not possess them.

We aim to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and applicable privacy laws, including GDPR, KVKK, and, where applicable, CCPA/CPRA.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, process, or transmit the following to our servers:

• your chat or conversation content
• your prompts, responses, exported text, or conversation files
• your browsing history outside supported chat pages
• cookies, advertising identifiers, analytics trackers, or profiling data
• hidden telemetry or remote logging about your conversations

Operational data required for the Extension to function is stored locally on your device using Chrome storage mechanisms.

We do not sell personal data and do not share personal data for advertising, behavioral targeting, or profiling.

Minimal Licensing & Anti-Abuse Data (Separate from Chat Content)

To validate licenses, prevent abuse, enforce plan limits, provide support, and protect service integrity, we may process a minimal set of licensing-related metadata, entirely separate from chat content.

Categories of data processed for licensing and security

This may include:

• license email address (for purchase, activation, billing, or support)
• license status and plan information (for example: active, trial, expired, revoked)
• license-related timestamps and error codes
• transient IP address for security and rate-limiting
• a hashed device identifier or generated identifier used for license enforcement and abuse prevention

Device fingerprint / hashed device identifier

To help prevent fraud and enforce license limits, the Extension may derive a coarse device fingerprint from limited browser/device characteristics and convert it into a one-way hashed identifier.

This hashed device identifier is used only for:

• license anti-abuse
• session recovery
• fraud prevention
• device-limit enforcement, including maximum 2 devices per paid license where applicable

This hashed identifier is never used for:

• tracking users across websites
• advertising
• analytics
• behavioral profiling
• sale or monetization of personal data

It is linked only to licensing/security operations and not to chat content.

Purposes and legal basis

We process the above licensing/security metadata for the following purposes:

• contract performance — license activation, validation, entitlement checks
• legitimate interests — fraud prevention, anti-abuse, service integrity, device-limit enforcement, session recovery
• legal compliance — accounting, tax, dispute handling, and lawful requests where applicable

Security and storage

We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:

• TLS encryption in transit
• access-controlled systems at payment/licensing providers
• restricted operational access
• minimization of retained metadata
• separation between licensing metadata and chat content

Processors / vendors

Where necessary, we may rely on payment and licensing providers, such as:

• Gumroad
• licensing or validation providers
• infrastructure providers functionally required to operate the service

Where international transfers are involved, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable, are used.

Retention

Licensing/security metadata is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary, including:

• during the active license or trial period
• for a limited period afterward for fraud prevention, accounting, support, or dispute resolution
• typically up to 24 months where necessary for fraud prevention/accounting
• security logs, including transient IP-related data, are typically retained for up to 90 days, unless a longer period is required by law or an active dispute/security matter

No Tracking Technologies

We do not use:

• cookies in the Extension
• advertising pixels
• analytics scripts
• remote behavioral tracking technologies

The Extension is not designed for advertising, user profiling, or behavior monetization.

Backups, Recovery & User Responsibility

We do not provide cloud backups for exported conversations or local extension data.

If local data is deleted, removed, corrupted, or lost from your device, we generally cannot recover it. You are responsible for:

• exporting your files when needed
• maintaining your own backups
• protecting exported files
• applying encryption or other protective measures where appropriate

User Data Requests

Because we do not store chat content on our servers, requests for:

• access to stored chat content
• recovery of deleted conversations
• restoration of lost exported files

cannot be fulfilled by us.

Legal Requests and Disclosure

User chat records are not in our possession or control. Therefore, user chat records cannot be provided, delivered, produced, or made accessible by us to any third party, institution, authority, or requesting party.

Where legally required, limited licensing/security metadata described in this Policy may be disclosed. Where permitted by law, we may challenge overly broad or unlawful requests, narrow the scope of disclosure, and notify the affected user.

Transparency Commitments

We commit to:

• no backdoor
• no hidden remote control
• no secret transmission of chat content
• no covert tracking
• no advertising surveillance

The Extension may be reviewed or audited to verify its local/offline-first behavior.

Your Choices & Controls

You may:

• delete local extension data at any time
• uninstall the Extension
• revoke or stop using your license
• contact us regarding privacy rights applicable to the licensing/security metadata we process

By installing or using EcomAI Recall KaaN (“Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

PERMITTED USE AND ELIGIBILITY

• You may use the Extension only for lawful, ethical, and authorized purposes and only in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
• You are responsible for your device, operating environment, and exported content. Any content you export is solely at your discretion and risk.

DATA HANDLING AND PRIVACY (CHROME COMPLIANCE)

• Processing Location: All processing is performed locally on your device using the browser’s storage APIs. The Extension does not transmit user content to external servers.
• Data Safety Disclosure: The Extension does not collect, sell, or share personal data with the developer or third parties. No analytics, trackers, or remote logging are embedded.
• Backups: The Extension does not provide cloud backup. Deleted local data cannot be recovered by the developer.
• Security Recommendation: You are strongly advised to encrypt exported files and maintain your own backups.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND RESTRICTIONS

The Extension, its UI, workflows, and underlying code are protected by copyright and other IP rights. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or attempting to derive source code or algorithms.
• Creating derivative works, competing products, or using the Extension to train or assist competing services.
• Copying, redistributing, sublicensing, framing, or mirroring the Extension or its assets except as expressly permitted by law.
• Circumventing license checks, payment flows, rate limits, or usage restrictions.
• Probing, scanning, or analyzing the Extension for competitive, malicious, or unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Any violation of patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, or other rights.

LICENSE, TRIAL, AND ACTIVATION

• Trial: A one-time free trial may be offered (for example, up to 5 exports within 7 days). Trial scope and limits are subject to change.
• Licensed Version: Unlimited exports require a valid license purchased through authorized channels specified by EcomAI.
• Non-Transferability: Licenses are personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable.
• Enforcement: Suspected abuse, tampering, or breach of these Terms may result in immediate suspension or deactivation.
• Refunds: Trials are free of charge. Paid licenses follow the refund policies of the selling platform and applicable consumer laws.

UPDATES, CHANGES, AND AVAILABILITY

• Product Changes: Features may be added, modified, or discontinued to maintain security, compliance, or performance.
• Terms Changes: EcomAI may modify these Terms or the Privacy Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the website, store listing, or in-extension notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, uninstall the Extension.
• Availability: EcomAI may suspend or terminate access to address security or legal concerns.

DATA LOSS AND RECOVERY DISCLAIMER

• The developer cannot access or restore your local data. You are solely responsible for backing up your exports and safeguarding your device.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EcomAI and its affiliates are not liable for: (a) data loss, corruption, or recovery issues; (b) compatibility or interoperability problems; (c) indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages; (d) damages arising from misuse of exported content or third-party services. Aggregate liability is limited to the amounts paid for the license, if any, during the 12 months preceding the claim.

LEGAL ENFORCEMENT AND REMEDIES

Violations may lead to civil and/or criminal action, including monetary damages, injunctive relief, seizure or takedown of infringing copies, and formal complaints to competent authorities. EcomAI reserves all rights and remedies at law and in equity.

GOVERNING LAW, JURISDICTION, AND INTERNATIONAL PROTECTIONS

• Governing Law: Turkish law governs these Terms.
• Jurisdiction: Kayseri Commercial Courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections under applicable law.
• International IP: Protections and enforcement may also rely on the Berne Convention, WIPO treaties, the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime, and relevant bilateral IP treaties and cooperation mechanisms.

TERMINATION

EcomAI may suspend or terminate your license or access for breach of these Terms, suspected abuse, or legal/security reasons. Upon termination, you must cease use and uninstall the Extension.

EXPORT CONTROL AND SANCTIONS

You confirm that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national/resident of any country or entity subject to comprehensive embargoes or sanctions, and you will not use the Extension in violation of export control laws.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement regarding the Extension.
• Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
• No Waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of rights.

KULLANIM KOŞULLARI – ECOMAI RECALL KAAN

EcomAI Recall KaaN (“Eklenti”) yüklenerek veya kullanılarak, bu Kullanım Koşulları’nı (“Koşullar”) kabul etmiş sayılırsınız. Koşulları kabul etmiyorsanız Eklentiyi kurmayınız veya kullanmayınız.

UYGUN KULLANIM VE YETKİ

• Eklenti yalnızca hukuka, etik kurallara ve yetkili amaçlara uygun şekilde ve yürürlükteki mevzuata riayet edilerek kullanılabilir.
• Cihazınız, çalışma ortamınız ve dışa aktardığınız içeriklerden siz sorumlusunuz. Dışa aktarımlar tamamen kendi takdiriniz ve riskinizdedir.

VERİ İŞLEME VE GİZLİLİK (CHROME UYUMLULUĞU)

• İşleme Yeri: Tüm işlemler tarayıcının yerel depolama API’leri kullanılarak cihazınızda yerel olarak yapılır. Eklenti kullanıcı içeriğini harici sunuculara iletmez.
• Veri Güvenliği Beyanı: Eklenti; geliştiriciye veya üçüncü kişilere kişisel veri toplamaz, satmaz veya paylaşmaz. Analitik, takipçi veya uzaktan kayıt mekanizması bulunmaz.
• Yedekleme: Eklenti bulut yedekleme sağlamaz. Silinen yerel veriler geliştirici tarafından geri getirilemez.
• Güvenlik Önerisi: Dışa aktardığınız dosyaları şifrelemeniz ve kendi yedeklerinizi tutmanız tavsiye edilir.

FİKRİ MÜLKİYET VE KISITLAMALAR

Eklenti, arayüzü, iş akışları ve altyapı kodu telif ve sair fikri mülkiyet haklarıyla korunur. Aşağıdaki faaliyetler kesinlikle yasaktır:

• Tersine mühendislik, dekompilasyon, parçalarına ayırma veya kaynak kodu/algoritma elde etmeye teşebbüs.
• Türev eser veya rakip ürün geliştirmek ya da Eklentiyi rakip hizmetleri eğitmek/desteklemek için kullanmak.
• Eklentiyi veya varlıklarını kopyalama, yeniden dağıtma, alt lisanslama, çerçeveleme veya yansıtma (hukuken açıkça izin verilen haller hariç).
• Lisans kontrollerini, ödeme akışlarını, limitleri veya kullanım kısıtlarını aşma.
• Eklentiyi rekabet, kötü niyet veya yetkisiz ticari amaçlarla inceleme/analiz etme.
• Patent, marka, telif, ticari sır veya diğer hakların ihlali.

LİSANS, DENEME VE AKTİVASYON

• Deneme: Bir defaya mahsus ücretsiz deneme sunulabilir (örneğin 7 gün içinde en fazla 5 dışa aktarma). Kapsam ve limitler değiştirilebilir.
• Lisanslı Sürüm: Sınırsız dışa aktarma için geçerli bir lisans gerekir; yalnızca EcomAI’nin yetkili kanalları üzerinden satın alınmalıdır.
• Devredilemezlik: Lisans şahsidir; münhasır olmayan, devredilemez ve geri alınabilir niteliktedir.
• Yaptırım: Kötüye kullanım, müdahale veya ihlal şüphesinde lisans askıya alınabilir veya iptal edilebilir.
• İadeler: Deneme ücretsizdir. Ücretli lisanslar, satış platformunun iade politikalarına ve zorunlu tüketici mevzuatına tabidir.

GÜNCELLEMELER, DEĞİŞİKLİKLER VE ERİŞİLEBİLİRLİK

• Ürün Değişiklikleri: Güvenlik, uyum veya performans amacıyla özellikler eklenebilir, değiştirilebilir veya sonlandırılabilir.
• Koşullarda Değişiklik: EcomAI, işbu Koşulları ve Gizlilik Politikasını değiştirme hakkını saklı tutar. Esaslı değişiklikler web sitesi, mağaza sayfası veya Eklenti içi bildirimle duyurulur. Değişiklik tarihinden sonra kullanıma devam edilmesi kabul anlamına gelir. Kabul etmiyorsanız Eklentiyi kaldırınız.
• Erişilebilirlik: Güvenlik veya hukuki sebeplerle erişim askıya alınabilir veya sonlandırılabilir.

VERİ KAYBI VE KURTARMA SORUMLULUK REDDİ

• Geliştirici yerel verilerinize erişemez ve bunları geri getiremez. Yedekleme ve cihaz güvenliği sizin sorumluluğunuzdadır.

SORUMLULUĞUN SINIRLANDIRILMASI

Yasaların izin verdiği azami ölçüde EcomAI ve iştirakleri; (a) veri kaybı, bozulma veya kurtarma sorunları; (b) uyumluluk/çalışabilirlik problemleri; (c) dolaylı, arızi, özel, cezai veya sonuçsal zararlar; (d) dışa aktarılan içeriklerin veya üçüncü taraf hizmetlerin kötüye kullanımından doğan zararlar için sorumlu değildir. Toplam sorumluluk, talep tarihinden önceki 12 ayda ödenmiş lisans bedeliyle sınırlıdır.

HUKUKİ YAPTIRIMLAR VE BAŞVURULAR

İhlaller; maddi tazminat, tedbir (ihtiyati tedbir dâhil), yasa dışı kopyalara el koyma/takedown ve yetkili mercilere suç duyurusu gibi hukukî ve cezaî yollara konu olabilir. EcomAI kanun ve hakkaniyetten doğan tüm talep ve haklarını saklı tutar.

UYGULANACAK HUKUK, YETKİ VE ULUSLARARASI KORUMA

• Uygulanacak Hukuk: Bu Koşullara Türk hukuku uygulanır.
• Yetki: Kayseri Ticaret Mahkemeleri münhasır yetkilidir (zorunlu tüketici korumaları saklıdır).
• Uluslararası Koruma: Bern Sözleşmesi, WIPO anlaşmaları, Budapeşte Siber Suçlar Sözleşmesi ve ilgili ikili anlaşmalar ile uluslararası işbirliği mekanizmaları uygulanabilir.

SONA ERME

İhlal, kötüye kullanım veya hukuki/güvenlik gerekçeleriyle lisansınız askıya alınabilir veya sona erdirilebilir. Sona erme halinde Eklenti kullanımını durdurur ve kaldırırsınız.

İHRACAT KONTROLLERİ VE YAPTIRIMLAR

Kapsamlı ambargo/yaptırımlara tabi ülke veya kuruluşlarda bulunmadığınızı; Eklentiyi ihracat kontrol kurallarını ihlal edecek şekilde kullanmayacağınızı beyan edersiniz.

ÇEŞİTLİ HÜKÜMLER

• Sözleşmenin Bütünü: Bu Koşullar ve Gizlilik Politikası Eklentiye ilişkin tüm anlaşmayı oluşturur.
• Bölünebilirlik: Herhangi bir hüküm geçersiz kılınsa dahi diğer hükümler yürürlükte kalır.
• Feragat: Herhangi bir hakkın kullanılmaması feragat sayılmaz.
